End of December

Okay, so obligatory blog post here. Christmas has just passed, we’ve all got a new set of junk (thankfully a trimmed budget has left us(me) with things we(I) want.

Kim Jong-il is dead, surprise surprise replaced by his son Kim Jong-un. He won out that succession line when his eldest half-brother Kim Jong-nam was caught trying to enter Japan on a false passport to visit Tokyo Disneyland. Is there any life Disney will not ruin? The even further shame is that nam’s son was Kim Han-sol, which is damn close to having a King Han Solo.

Beyond this I don’t think there’s anything newsworthy, or even noteworthy. Hence I’m not noting anything. We’ll see what two-weeks of vacation will produce… except maybe cabin fever – in a house.

Christmas: Post Game 2010

With Christmas over and a stack of video games that should keep me entertained for the foreseeable future, *and* a stack of board games including Catan and Risk that will certainly keep me entertained in those non-digital moments (or power outages), I have to say Christmas was successful yet again.

However, the grass is once again becoming green and it’s calling for a high of 8C this Saturday, making the first day of the new year veritably t-shirt weather.

Finally, I’m finding plenty of time to get writing done whilst still relaxing, which is why I’m venturing here to blog.

Wrapping

I think with the amount of presents I’ve wrapped this Christmas, that I’m now going to be a complete pro. I’m getting perfect folds and ribbons tied. At least I’ll soon be done with it all.

Kelly’s being a trooper, sleeping on a blanket while I’m busy.

Family Christmas

We just had a busy, busy weekend with my wife’s family Christmas. My in-law’s were hosting it, but we had some of the spill over of my wife’s cousins. It was an extremely fun weekend, but bed at 3am was a killer.

Kelly got fed a 1/4 lb piece of butter by one of the little kids, so there was extra fun of vomit clean up all Saturday night – but she was well behaved enough when we went to bed that she managed a night with her crate open without an accident – at least till the morning when she got told to shut up for barking at the hot water heating pipes expanding when she squatted from anxiety.
